Course Description: This course is designed to introduce students to the many disciplines of Family and Consumer Sciences

Weeks 1-4: Foods and Nutrition

  • Intro to Food Prep Skills

·         Terms

·         Equipment

·         Safety

·         Recipes

                Lab Unit

·         Snacks, meals

Weeks 5-9 Sewing and Fabric Construction

  • Hand Sewing
  • Sewing Machine and Equipment
  • Preparing Fabrics and Patterns
  • Using Basic Sewing Skills
  • Projects

·         Character pillow

***All Schedules are subject to change but you will be notified of any change

***Grades will be on a point system. The points will come from labs, tests, projects, participation and homework.
